Occam’s razor, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, etc., etc.
Steve Jobs said,
“Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
Simple is beautiful. It’s distilled. It’s direct. It’s clarifying.
If I find myself turning a problem into a hamster wheel, the likely culprit is that I’m making it more complex than it needs to be.
When in doubt, simplify.
